Girls State Basketball Game
Students who plan to attend the girls state game on Thursday, March 13th at 9:30am will be counted as present Thursday (will not count against exam exemption) as long as the student checks-in with a designee at the game on Thursday. When you arrive at the game in Murfreesboro, it will be your responsibility to find a SGCHS Staff member (who will verify your attendance) to check-in; this will excuse you for Thursday, March 13th. Not checking-in with an SGCHS staff member at the game will result in your attendance to be counted unexcused on Thursday, March 13th.
If the girls win on Thursday, they will play at 4pm on Friday, March 14th. Students will be allowed to check out on Friday, March 14th at noon. Students will be required to have a parent note, or a parent must come to the school to check the student out; no phone calls, text, email, or fax will be allowed. Students will need to check in with a staff member at the game on Friday in order to be excused from 3rd and 4th blocks.
