Congratulations to Mr. Lin Cates on being selected as the SGCHS Teacher of the Year. Mr. Cates has been a part of our SGCHS family since 2010 (13 + years) as a member of our History/Social Studies Department. He currently teaches AP U.S. History, regular U.S. History, and Tennessee History. Additionally, he serves as a Teacher Ambassador on our SGCHS Leadership Team and as the head coach of our baseball team. Mr. Cates will be recognized later this year at a luncheon for all the TOY award winners from the schools across the district. This is obviously a great honor for Mr. Cates and one for which he is certainly most deserving.
